Established in Sierra Leone in 1992 by Dr. Thomas Mark Turay and Mrs. Mary Hawa Turay with operations disrupted during the war, cdpeace is  facilitating twinning relationships between communities in Canada and Sierra Leone in health and peace education. Read more about cdpeace.

Collecting School and Building Supplies for Sierra Leone - CDPeace in collaboration with a great many volunteers and organizations has shipped a 40 foot container full of supplies and material to Sierra Leone. This is the second container to have been shipped.

Rebuilding the cdpeace Education and Development Facilities - CDPeace, in partnership with Peaceful Schools International, is preparing to rebuild its education and development facilities on 23 acres of land donated by community members in Mayagba, Bombali District, Northern Province. Fundraising for construction is currently underway. On completion, the centre will provide workshop and meeting space, a resource centre, and short-term residential facilities for participants.
